Isometric engineering blueprint drawing

Vladimir earned a Master's degree in Engineering from the Moscow Auto-Mechanical Institute, then moved to the United States in 1994 and started over. In 2003 he graduated with honors from Central Washington University with a Master's degree in Professional Accountancy, and he holds a Washington State CPA license.

Engineering shaped how he practices. He traces causes rather than symptoms, tests the assumptions inside a set of books, looks for the weak point before it fails, and builds financial structures that stay reliable under pressure — during growth, an audit, a sale, or a visa filing.

He also knows what it is to arrive in a new country and build something from the beginning. That experience is part of why he has spent his career building a bilingual practice for entrepreneurs doing the same thing.

These are the industries named on Vladimir's practice — each with a different financial shape and a different way of going wrong.

Software developers & internet startups

Contractor vs. employee classification, R&D and equity questions, multi-state nexus from remote customers, and books that must satisfy an investor as well as the IRS.

Retail businesses

Washington sales-tax collection and destination sourcing, inventory and cost of goods, seasonality in cash flow, and reconciling POS data to real financial statements.

Adult family homes

Licensed-care payroll and caregiver classification, resident revenue tracking, owner compensation, and records that stand up to state and payer review.

Real estate businesses

Entity structure by property, depreciation and basis tracking, 1031 and disposition planning, and partner-level reporting that actually ties out.

Insurance agencies

Commission and override revenue recognition, producer compensation, trust and premium accounting, and book-of-business valuation for growth or transition.

Other small & midsize companies

Owner-operated businesses that outgrew a spreadsheet and need an accounting system, a tax plan, and a CPA who answers the phone.

E-2 Financial Documentation

When an Investment Must Be Traced, Explained, and Supported

An E-2 business investment is a financial story told in records: where the funds came from, how they moved, what they purchased, and how much of the money is genuinely at risk in the business. Vladimir helps organize and report that activity — assembling transaction records, reconciling the flow of invested funds, and preparing clear CPA financial reporting your attorney can submit as part of the evidence package.

Required evidence varies by applicant and filing pathway. Vladimir works alongside your immigration counsel so the financial reporting matches what your specific matter actually calls for.

Discuss E-2 Financial Documentation
  • Source-of-funds tracing and transaction schedules
  • Documentation of funds actually invested and at risk
  • Purchase or start-up transaction accounting
  • Financial statements and pro forma projections for the business
  • Coordination with your immigration attorney's evidence plan

Vladimir Raskin CPA PS provides accounting and financial-reporting services and does not provide immigration legal advice. Applicants should work with qualified immigration counsel to determine the documentation required for their matter.

Vladimir's Proactive Method

Four Steps, Repeated Deliberately

01

Understand the Business

How revenue is actually earned, who does the work, where the money sits, and what the owner is trying to build. Nothing useful comes before this.

IRS Problem Support

The IRS Is Asking a Question. Make Sure the Answer Is Complete.

No particular tax outcome is promised. What is offered is a complete, well-documented, professionally represented response.

Get Help With a Notice
  • 01Understand the notice, what it is actually asking, and the deadline attached to it
  • 02Assemble the supporting documentation the response requires
  • 03Identify the underlying issue that produced the notice
  • 04Communicate with the appropriate agency on your behalf
  • 05Protect your rights as a taxpayer throughout the process
  • 06Close the gap so the same problem does not return next year
